GCSS-ARMY TRAINING IS A TRAINING COURSE DESIGNED TO HELP NEW STUDENTS/SOLDIERS TO HAVE A COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING OF USING THE GCSS EFFICIENTLY
It is not surprising that we need to be qualified to use machines or a program, like using heavy factory machines or even editing software. Certification is necessary to know that a certain individual is qualified and can be trusted with the task of using a particular system. Those examples apply to the Army, where Soldiers need to undergo GCSS-Army Training to get permission to use it.
What is GCSS?
GCSS is short for Global Combat Support System. It is automation to make efficient. The web-based program has two components; the first one is the GCSS – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), which functions as primary support in tactical logistics for the Army and sustains joint transformation. It is designed to re-engineer current business processes by achieving an end-to-end logistics integration with joint systems and applicable Command and Control (C2).
The second component is GCSS – Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP). It provides a single source of master data to integrate Army business functions and provide enterprise hub services and business intelligence.
