EARNING ATRRS DL POINTS REQUIRES YOU TO COMPLETE ONLINE ARMY COURSES. ONCE COLLECTED, IT MAY LEAD YOU TO A PROMOTION. HERE IS MORE INFORMATION ABOUT IT.
As a freshman, earning points is probably one of the things that you are focusing on. This article will give you a brief explanation regarding promotion points that you can get through the ATRRS (Army Training Requirements and Resources System). Before you go any further, this automation support tool has been used by the army for a long time. It is here to establish a neat program where upcoming students can navigate their way to enroll in a training program.
The ATRRS also manages class schedules, makes seat reservations, establishes Army training requirements, and records student attendance. The system also supports the training process that involves planning, budgeting, and execution. In the ATRRS there is also a list of training courses available, after you finish a training course you can receive ATRRS DL points, which are points needed to get a promotion. How does it work?
What Are DL Points?
The Army has a refined promotion system that’s a bit complicated. Participating in courses on ATRRS Course Catalog may earn you some of those points. The “DL” itself is short for “Distance Learning”. In this case, there are education promotion points. However, some will not award you any points (0), and some can be up to 80 points.
All soldiers probably know about the ATRRS. You can log in and choose your class. There is an opportunity to earn four (4) points every week for enrolling into classes that have 40 training hours. All of these courses are listed in the system. In some cases, you may also earn points from coursework that you are required to do.
When searching pr doing for a preferable DL course, you may stumble upon “No DL points” they say that it is completely normal. Why? Because the goal of the formal course is to finish its entirety.
How to Get Points?
For computer-based nonresident training, you are able to earn a maximum of 90 points for promotion to SSG (Staff Sergeant) and 80 points for promotion to SGT (Sergeant). These points are acquired by participating in courses through the ATRRS Self Development sections. Specifically, you earn one (1) point per five (5) hours of the training program.
As mentioned before, you will only receive ATRRS DL points if you complete the ACCP (Army Correspondence Course Program). Also, you will not get points for participating in a duplicate training course.
That concludes the information regarding the ATRRS DL points. Keep in mind that the ATRRS is not only to get points. You can also get information about your course statistics and training record.
